"Tropicalismo" – elektronische Popmusik, die sich über die enggefassten Grenzen des traditionellen Bossa Nova hinwegsetzt – nannten Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Tom Zé und andere ihre musikalische Ausrichtung Mitte der 60er Jahre in Brasilien. Ein hitverdächtiges Konzept welches nicht zuletzt [Gilberto Gils](http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilberto%5FGil?ref=mrak.at) weltweite Karriere begründete. Auf "[Gilberto Gil - the Definitive-Bossa Samba & Pop](http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B000068MMH?ref=mrak.at)" sind seine besten Songs aus dem letzten Vierteljahrhundert zu hören, Bossa-, Samba- und Pop-Hits wie "Palco", "Tradicao" oder auch "Oia Eu Aqui De Novo" aus dem Film "Eu, Tu, Eles". Bei dieser Musik ruhig sitzen zu bleiben fällt schwer.
